Renaissance Center Blow Out!!

Hi Everyone! Time to chat about my new, Renaissance Center Blow Out, fluid art painting! This one turned out absolutely beautiful! It is high dimensional in that I used a lot of different colors to create spectacularness! My paint consistency was thin to medium thin. The center colors were a bit thicker to hold the integrity of the design intact.

To start with this one, I layed out a foundation of deep red flash in the center by just creating a small filled in circle. Afterward, I used jet black to make a zigzag pattern from the red circle outward to the 4 corners, then, finally, out to the sides as well. The jet black color was a more thicker density, which helped it stay under the colors I placed on top while also sticking to the canvas. To accent this, later on, I use the white to trace an outline of the black to help it stabilize in contrasting.

Next, its time to strategically place in my warm sunny colors. To start I use a very red orangey color to wrap around the red in the center. In this motion, I am placing overlapping the red to push back more of the black. A regular orange color is next placed in the 4 corners of the orangey red circle, this time, placed behind some of the black that accumulated by first being pushed back. This can be seen easier in the you tube video instruction, moreso, than it can be described. A primary yellow is placed in the 4 corners right after the regular orange in alignment on top of the black zigzags. This gives an awesome zebra effect between the orange, yellow and black!

To fill in the sides of the red circle, I follow up with another brighter orangey red, then a more pumpkin orange behind that, with lighter yellow. This is where a lot of the dimension is given. We want the corners to appear darker, while the sides to appear lighter, which, enhances and promotes a more 3D dynamic.

Where this is right now, I would call a base template. So, from here, what we want to do is add a lot of different shades of these warmer colors to create even more of a popping aspect. Neon yellow is sprinkled upon and through the yellow and orange shades to promote this effect. Then, neon orange is placed in a thick line pattern coming out from the 4 corners. This will mix in different shades as well to lighten up the corners where it can.

Finally, a snowflake shaped lining is done to grab attention in the center. I waited until the end to do this so that it would stay on the top of the painting. Had I done it earlier when I placed my red, the white would have settled and caved in on the red, almost becoming non-existent. This way, now, we can see the white popping out from the center. The white is also enhanced with a white glitter medium. You can find this just generically at any craft store. I like to use it to give the centerings a little something extra, extra shine, on the blow outs.

Now its time for the blow out. I just blow it out the same way and technique I used for my High Dimensional 3 painting. Please refer back to that process if needed. Also, making sure I go around with the blow dryer clockwise on the last time around grabbing out and flattening all the paint as best as I can for drying.

And there we have it! A stunning piece, highly reminiscent of the Renaissance era! I masterpiece to brighten up any environment! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this posting as well as the video, which I will post the link to in the bottom. If you have any comments, or questions, feel free to leave them here, in the comment section or on my youtube video! Thanks for reading and watching! Hope this finds your days going well and you are off to a good start becoming advanced fluid artists!
